Shipping containers come in a variety of sizes and conditions, making them suitable for many uses and budgets. The most common container sizes are 20-feet long by 8-feet wide and 40-feet long by 8-feet wide. We also offer containers that are 53-feet long and 8-feet, 6-inches wide.
Used shipping containers are typically utilized for international shipping for 10+ years. At that point, we procure them from container leasing companies and sell them in the aftermarket for on-site storage and other creative uses. New “one-trip” containers are loaded with cargo once and shipped to the US. They are not utilized for international shipping service. Whether they’re new or used, most shipping containers are comprised of 14-gauge corrugated steel panels. They are equipped with marine-grade plywood floors and lockable double doors on one end.

Refrigerated Containers
Container Technology, Inc. has been the leading provider of refrigerated shipping containers since 1988. CTI offers both 20-foot and 40-foot sizes. They’re also available in both new and used condition.
New refrigerated shipping containers have never been used for international shipping. They come directly from the manufacturer and the cooling systems are typically under the manufacturer’s warranty. If you would prefer a used refrigerated shipping container for your business, you can have the confidence of knowing every container we deliver is inspected and sold in working condition.
All of our refrigerated containers run on either 230-volt or 460-volt three-phase electric power, making them environmentally friendly. They’re capable of maintaining consistent temperatures ranging from 0 degrees to 75 degrees Fahrenheit, depending on how they’re used and the products they hold.
With standard t-rail flooring that’s rated for forklift and pallet jack traffic and lockable double doors on one end, these containers are suitable for a variety of refrigerated storage needs. They’re commonly used for storing food and beverages, pharmaceuticals, adhesives and polymers, and other products that require temperature-controlled or cold storage.
