Our process starts by making a careful selection out of our available storage containers for a container with a solid condition to be refurbished. These containers are thoroughly inspected before the refurbishment process starts to identify any areas that need to be improved upon. The used shipping container has any damage identified on the outside where rust has formed in scratches and dents, and these areas are ground down to the raw steel removing the imperfections. In addition, any rough spots, such as old decals or dirt, are also removed during this step. Once this part of the process is complete, the container is painted with rust prohibitive primer and paint. Another inspection is done after this process to identify problems with the cargo doors and have them fixed to ensure proper function.
