Ventilation: Description
Ventilation systems are one of the many container modification requests we get from our customers. Shipping containers are built with one or more small pressure vents that let the containers “breathe” during the shipping process. But, if you are interested in turning containers into a dream home build project, you will need to improve the airflow in your shipping container conversion.
Shipping containers used for overseas shipping are built wind and watertight to survive extreme environments. However; when using containers for permanent dwellings such as portable classrooms, proper airflow is key to keeping heat from building up and condensation from forming on the inside of your containers.
We have many options for improving airflow by installing different ventilation systems that help draw out hot air and maintain the interior temperature and humidity at an acceptable level. Installing mechanical turbine vents on the roof and passive louvered vents on the side of the containers are just a few of the available options to choose from.
In addition to shipping container ventilation systems, we also offer custom framing, insulation, lighting, heating, cooling, and other container modification services. Contact us today to get started on building a quote for your next shipping container project.
