These long 40-foot containers are typically about 1.4 times larger than a 20-foot storage container making them a less expensive option per square foot. 

Although this class of shipping containers has been retired by the shipping line, wind and watertight containers have many years of usable life left. WWT containers are available for purchase at most major metropolitan and port locations. This class of shipping container will show signs of surface rust, dents, and scratches yet they are still guaranteed to be leakproof and wind and watertight.
